Please join us for a special weekend as we remember and celebrate Cameron Avenue Church of Christ, present and past!
Time & Location
Apr 29, 5:00 PM – Apr 30, 5:00 PM
Colonial Heights, 601 Cameron Ave, Colonial Heights, VA 23834, USA
About the event
Cameron Avenue exists as a body of believers because of the intrepid souls who came from Texas and Oklahoma to begin this work in Colonial Heights, Va. Here we are, many years later, continuing to serve one another and to live as Christ in this community. We invite sister churches in the area to join us for this special weekend. On Saturday night at 5pm, we will come together for an area-wide singing, knowing that many will want to worship with their home churches on Sunday morning. This time of singing gives us all an opportunity to celebrate with Cameron Ave for the part we play in God's kingdom. There will be finger foods and fellowship to follow. On Sunday, an early service will take place during what would be our Bible class time at Violet Bank, the site where the original church met before we had a building of our own (the event will begin at 9:30am, if there is rain we will meet in the auditorium at the building; if there is no rain, we will be shuttling people back and forth from the building with the van because of parking, so come a bit early; for more information or directions, please feel free to contact the church via our contact page). Finally, after service on Sunday morning, lunch will be served, after which we will have another short service to close out the weekend. We invite current and past members to join in this time of remembrance and celebration. Come and take your seat at our table!
